Riverfront Property

It will be sad to leave Missoula, it was fun to get to know the place that I consider to be a mini-Portland in some ways. At the same time, life's new adventures are exciting. I remember that I didn't want to move to Missoula when we did, but the move down here proved to be very beneficial to my resume and to my list of mentors and my list of friends. (I don't really keep a list of friends in a notebook or journal...just to clear the air on that one). It also was very fun for Paige, she loves her little (big) daycare and has some great teachers that we will miss tremendously. And her little friends, Dylan, Hannah (already moved to Chicago though), Kaylee, and River...plus more.
Now moving back to Kalispell is another boost to both of our careers and of course, brings Paige back closer to her Grandpa & Grandma and her Great-Grandma...so I'm sure she'll be delighted for that change (so are we...date nights!).
We're also excited to get back and reconnect with some friends, and Jesse will enjoy reconnecting with some previous clients. For Jesse, this is perfect. For me, this is perfect. Very exciting opportunities for both of us. Why I always stress out so much over change I don't know. I guess that has been brought out as my weakness. That is why I have Jesse to continually remind me that "everything is going to be OK!"
We were so lucky to have a place made available to us to rent without having to go through the whole rental search routine. Even better, now the title of this post makes sense, we are on riverfront property! The view is beautiful, the place is cozy and roomy, and we have a mechanic's hobby shop below us which has proven beneficial to us as I needed a brake job. Another bonus = Walkin Closet in the Master BR.

Never Mind our Neighbors to the North...I wonder what that will be like this summer! I imagine we'll see some bonfires and hear sparkler bombs and see them shooting clay pigeons out of the sky...good ol' Montucky style.

This is the view from our LR window, which will be easy to focus on:

Imagine how pretty it will be when the river rises and the trees are green.

And Paige will enjoy our backyard playground! Good thing because we are sad to leave the ultra-kid-friendly Missoula parks.

This is what breakfast looks like when you haven't moved in yet; complete with table decor. We had a very fun little breakfast :)

Best for last...the place comes complete with a dog named Carmen. I have been very nice to her and Paige loves to give her treats. I even petted the dog named Carmen, but got a whiff of my hand afterwards and gagged for 2 minutes and nearly threw up. This will prove to challenge me. Jesse let the dog named Carmen lick Paige on the face today!!!! Nasty. But she is a nice dog and doesn't sniff around all annoyingly. Her name should be Tom though, she spends quite abit of time looking through our window.

Yay! Glad your comin' home! Hey Brenda, I don't think you would be normal if you weren't stressed about change. I'm thankful for a husband that calms me down too! Hope all goes smoothly for you and can't wait to see you and our favorite little Paige!

It looks like a nice place. I like the swing set and the poochie looking in the window, too. If you feed him a doggie treat every day, he'll be your guard dog and you'll have the benefits of a pet without the responsibilities.

UPDATE ON THE DAWG - I did something today when nobody was around...
I gave her a treat and said in a nice talking to doggie voice: "Yer a good doggie Carmen."
And then I said to myself, "Wow. Now that is progress." Follwed up with, "What was I just thinking?"

I did not pet the dog named Carmen though. Giving her a treat is actually easier because I don't really have to smell her.
